For Japanese manufacturers and supply chain companies operating in the ASEAN region — particularly in Malaysia — accelerating digital transformation (DX) and addressing labor shortages have become pressing challenges in recent years.
Leveraging its expertise in consulting that integrates business strategy and IT solutions, BIA aims to develop human resources capable of dramatically improving productivity by embedding generative AI into day-to-day operations. Through this project, BIA will support the strengthening of Japanese companies' competitiveness in ASEAN and their transition to sustainable business models.
This program goes beyond a simple introduction to AI tools. It is a hands-on workshop designed to help participants redesign actual business processes to align with AI capabilities.
Executives, DX promotion officers, and operational leaders at Japanese-affiliated companies and their supply chain partners operating primarily in Malaysia and across the ASEAN region.
Fundamentals of generative AI (e.g., ChatGPT), prompt engineering, AI-driven business process redesign workshops, and on-the-job training (OJT)-style mentoring support.
Full details on the workshop content, schedule, and how to apply are available on the following website: https://bridge-dx.asia
Many Japanese companies, particularly in the manufacturing sector, have established operations in the ASEAN region, contributing to the region's economic growth and employment over many years. However, with the growing urgency of adapting to increasingly complex international conditions and climate change, Japanese companies must upgrade their industrial foundations to meet the demands of a new environment.
This grant program is designed to support training costs related to GX (Green Transformation) and DX for companies within Japanese-affiliated supply chains in ASEAN, with the aim of promoting productivity improvements and decarbonization. The program is administered by the AMEICC Secretariat (located within the AOTS Bangkok Office). For more information about AMEICC, please visit: https://ameicc.org/
"We are truly honored to have been selected for this AMEICC-supported initiative. The ASEAN region is currently undergoing a period of profound transformation. Through this workshop, we are committed to fully supporting Japanese companies in leveraging the latest AI technologies to achieve their next stage of growth. We will continue to strengthen our locally-rooted activities as a trusted partner dedicated to the advancement of Japanese businesses across ASEAN."
